GUILT

Guilt is just disgusting…and how true that everyman today is guilty… look at any face someone is guilty for something… we are tough guilt from the moment we are born.
I’ll share a small story:
There was a school in a small city in India. The school was well known within its community to be good in discipline and mannerism and teaching the core values of its community, culture and religion. On Sundays, Sunday school was held, children were tough the scripture.
One fine Sunday the topic to be tough was GUILT. The children were told to write down on a piece of paper 1 guilt each. Everyone wrote something. Like, I ate an extra chocolate, I did not wash my clothes even though my mentor told me so, I did not do my homework, and so on. One child gave the sheet blank. The teacher asked the child the reason for not writing down any of his guilt’s where as all the rest had. The child simply said ‘ I not written anything down because I don’t feel any guilt.’ On this the teacher…
Told the child that his guilt was that he had not realized his guilt’s. According to the teacher and her teachings every being (human) is a sinner. A born sinner. So the child is committing a sin not making notes of his guilt’s and not feeling guilty was a SIN … this was a reason enough to make the child guilty.

Jesus said: “… Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. …” (John 3:18) The shameless will stand condemned already by his sins, and he will feel so. And today as good as everyone are shameless. There is no fear of God. And so everyone feels guilt, being sinful. It is a tragedy. And the expectation is that all should feel guilty, even children. Psychology is a stupid thing.
Nice point!

As far as I know about my friend, she was a strong believer but … undue pressure to create superficial or unnecessary fear of God amongst children, made her feel upset and disturbed.
We can not deny physiology. Mentally disturbed/ sick people need help of physiologists like a physically sick needs a doctor. Prayers are as important. Physical being and spirituality go hand in hand.
